CSCS Apprentice card

The CSCS Apprentice card is issued free of charge and is for individuals on recognised apprenticeships.

Steps to get CSCS Red Apprentice card:

  1. Should have enrolled in NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or above in construction within 2 years.
  2. Pass CITB Health Safety and Environment Test.
  3. This card cannot be renewed.
  4. Red Apprentice card is valid for 4 years and 6 months.

You need to pass Operative or specialist test as per your trade you are working in.


Eligibility Criteria for CITB Operative or Specialist Test

Profession or Trade – Any specialization required

Eligibility – Aged 16 or above, should have an apprenticeship letter either from employer.

Working as – must be on an accredited apprenticeship scheme.

Card Validity – 4 Years 6 Month and cannot be renewed.

Knowledge Required – health, safety and environmental knowledge.

Test Duration – 45 Minute

Type of Test – Computer test also known as touch screen test.check your nearest test centre.

Question – 50 multiple choice

Pass Marks – 45 Out of 50
